Japanese culture – v1. Pop culture👯

Did you see Japan’s performance at the closing ceremony of Rio Olympics?🇧🇷✨
(If not, you can check it out now from HERE!!! )

As you see in the last part, the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, appeared in disguise as ‘Super Mario’!!! It was awesome, wasn’t it???✨✨(I personally think he should have smiled more though😂)

This is definitely the ‘Pop culture’ of Japan 👯👫✨
Japanese Pop culture has been embraced overseas; some Japanese manga comic books have been translated and published📚, and Japanese anime has certainly become well-known overseas such as Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion and Spirited Away📺✨
Costume play, Kosupure, and the collection of character goods grew from Manga and Anime, and both are now widely practiced overseas👯✨ The word Otaku was created to refer the people who most embrace the various aspects of Pop culture!!!

I can say that the place to enjoy these Pop culture most is definitely Akihabara(秋葉原)🚃💨 I will post the details of the city in my ‘Explore Tokyo👣’ series!
(If you haven’t checked Vol.1, please click HERE🗼)

Also, surprisingly, these pop culture have a connection with Japanese traditional culture.. Please look forward to my articles about traditional culture👘🍵
